Frequently asked questions
How much do you charge for a logo design?
I don't charge a set amount to design a logo as each client and their particular requirements are different. That being said, take a look at my Price Guide to get an idea of what your budget is likely to cover.
Do you work with overseas clients?
Absolutely, many of my clients have come from all over the world. As long as we are able to communicate in English, then it doesn't matter where you're located.
Will I have to sign a contract?
Yes, once the project scope is agreed, I'll send you a logo proposal to complete and sign. Don't worry though, it's in plain English with large text and only takes a few mintues to read. Having a contract protects both our interests and ensures we start in a professional manner.
How will we communicate?
I find it's generally best to use email as most of my clients prefer this method, especially if they are in different time zones – it's alse useful to have a record of exactly what was said to refer back to. However, if you would prefer to talk by phone (UK clients) or Skype, just let me know.
In addition to my logo, can you design other brand identity elements?
Absolutely, I can produce artwork for whatever you require, such as stationery, brand guidelines, signage for buildings or vehicles – just let me know what else you need and I'll include for that in my quote. And don't worry if you forget to include something, I can price for it later and add it as an extra.
Just to be clear, the prices I charge are for artwork only, I will supply digital files that you can take to your own local printer etc., to be produced.
Can I give you detailed information about my project before getting a quote?
Sure, most people prefer a short form initially when getting a quote, but I do have a more detailed Logo Design Form that I get people to fill in at a later stage to gather further information – you're welcome to complete that first. Also, if you're curious about the type of questions asked, check out a post I wrote about questions to ask a client before designing their logo.
How soon before you can begin working on my logo?
This will depend on how many other projects I currently have on the go, as I prefer to limit the amount of projects I have running at any one time to give your project the attention it deserves.
I will always let you know when I will be able to start your project before you commit to anything, and will do my best to accommodate any fixed deadlines.
How long will it take you to complete my logo?
This can vary greatly depending on several factors, including the time allocated to the research and ideas stages of the project, how quickly a concept is agreed upon, and how fast you respond to my emails.
Typically though, I aim to have projects completed within a month from starting. However, if a project is required urgently, or by a specific date I will let you know if I consider this an achievable target or not.
Will my logo come in various file formats, and will there be different versions of my logo?
You will receive your logo in EPS, JPEG and PNG file formats, delivered digitally – if you require another format just let me know prior to the start of the project.
As for different versions of your logo this will depend on your requirements and what we agree on prior to the start of the project, though this can sometimes change as the logo design develops. Often a logo will come in Colour, Black & White, and sometimes as a Single Spot Colour too. And depending on the design on your logo there may be Landscape and Portrait versions, or versions with separate elements of the logo.
What happens after I request a Free Logo Design Quote?
I will email you back within 24 hours, though usually it's within an hour or two with a price to cover your project as described. If you are happy to proceed with the price quoted, or wish to discuss it further, just let me know and we'll go from there – I aim to make the whole process as simple and enjoyable as I can.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Bank transfers are prefered, however, if you're unable to pay in that way, PayPal can be used instead.
